our story
Hey! We're Sarah Zeng and Alice Huang, two high school students and longtime friends looking for a way to make a difference in the Austin community. As batch after batch of bite-sized cookies and other baked goods began to emerge from our ovens after schools closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we thought, what better way to bake and *dough* good than to open up our own cookie shop?
We bake with the best quality ingredients and attention to detail. We sell by the dozen, but you can email or DM us for a special event or order! 80% of our proceeds are donated to United Way for Greater Austin to fight poverty in Austin.
Taste good, dough good.
meet the bakers!

Sarah Zeng
Baker and Co-Founder
Hey y'all, I'm Sarah Zeng! I attend Westwood High School and I'm an incoming junior. I've always loved baking and cooking from a very young age, and enjoy every minute of crafting delicious goods to sell to customers. Alice and I started this business together as a way to indulge in our hobbies while benefitting the community :)

Alice Huang
Baker and Co-Founder
Hey! I’m Alice, a high school student at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School. I was born and raised in Austin, Texas, and I’ve always loved to bake—I remember watching my mom whisk batter effortlessly when little six-year-old me had given up because my arms hurt after two whole seconds of mixing. While my arms still lack strength to this day, I like to think that my baking skills have improved, and I’m very excited to be making delicious sweets with Sarah to lift the spirits of our community and help make a difference in the lives of people affected by COVID-19 in Austin.

safety and sanitation
complies with texas cottage food laws
At Dough Re Mi, not only do we care about the flavor of our cookies and the quality of our ingredients, but we also prioritize the safety and sanitation of our production environments to ensure that the quality of our cookies is not compromised by any form of contamination.
Each of our delicious cookies is handcrafted in a home kitchen, where supplies are washed thoroughly after each use and cookie dough is handled with food safe disposable plastic gloves.
Both of us have the Texas Food Handlers Card, in compliance with the Texas Cottage Food Laws.
We wish nothing but to produce the best tasting cookies in a sanitary environment to support our fellow Austin community members during the COVID-19 crisis :)
